Expertly handcrafted start to finish by Ryan at CATELLIERmade right here in Castle Rock, CO, it's crafted from tough #10 (14.7oz) Duck Martexin Original Wax "Plain Weave" fabric from New Jersey. After finishing, this 100% waxed cotton canvas comes in at a robust ~19.84 oz/yd that will handle heavy use providing years of service.

Please note: while the color is quite consistent, the markings and surface of the waxed cotton will be unique to your piece and will patina based on your use. The SlicKnives ClipPoint _4.5 ^TM is fashioned after the numerous historical clip point blades that moved west across the U.S. with hearty pioneers.  This tried-and-true blade shape helps its user accomplish all sorts of tasks from processing wild game in the field to prepping the veggies for the salad followed by slicing off a piece of perfectly done steak at dinner.

Designed in the U.S. and hand made from Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel by our expert knife making partners in Albacete, Spain, the ClipPoint _4.5 is tough with an edge that holds up and is easy to sharpen after use.  The 4.5” blade, comfortable full grip, and beautiful premium leather vertical carry sheath combine to make this blade a dream to have along for whatever ride presents itself.  And unlike the old-time original clip point blades, SlicKnives’ design has an ergonomic grip to protect the user from slipping forward onto the sharpened edge when the work gets slippery, which unfortunately, was a common injury associated with the early designs back in the day.

The ClipPoint _4.5 comes amazingly sharp out of the box with a high flat ground blade that melts into a full flat grind from the high point of the blade out to the tip and includes a secondary beveled edge for strength and long life.  Jimping has been included along the spine in front of the Ricasso for sure handling when the going gets tough.  And since it’s made with quality stainless steel, you won’t need to worry about the edge or blade corroding at the end of the day.

Olive Green G10 scales with a Black G10 liner attached to the full-tang provides a hand-shaped foundation that gets even grippier when wet.  The non-removeable scales are permanently mounted to the ClipPoint _4.5 with three stainless steel screws for durability and includes a buterola that’s ready to accept your lanyard for the occasions that call for added safety measures.  Additionally, the 90-degree spine is perfect for getting a fire started with the included ferro rod.

The premium hand-made leather sheath provides vertical belt carry and includes a loop to keep your ferro rod close at hand.  The dye on newly-made sheaths may become visible on the front part of the G10 grip in the area that grips the inside of the sheath creating a unique patina, however, it can be cleaned off easily and will fade with use as the sheath wears and ages.

SlicKnives is certain that you’ll be happy choosing this quality knife – pick it up today!

The beauty of the Curve _4.5 isn’t only tied to its ability to skin and process meat with its long-curved belly, but it’s super-slicey profile is a wonderful choice for general food preparation in camp or in the kitchen.  And it's a wonderful bird and trout knife.  Whether you use it for processing game or for slicing veggies to put in your stew, you’ll love the Curve _4.5!

The Curve _4.5 comes out of the box super-sharp with a hollow grind and a secondary beveled edge for strength and years of service.  We’ve included jimping along the spine in front of the Ricasso for sure handling.  And since it’s made with quality German stainless steel, you won’t need to worry about the edge or blade corroding when it’s not in use.

Black canvas micarta next to the full-tang blade provides a slim and grippy, hand-sculpted foundation that’s sure to please, even when it gets wet.  The non-removable ergonomic grip is mounted with two sets of stainless screws and includes the pictured lanyard with brushed finish stainless steel bead.

The custom Pink & Purple Woodland Camo KYDEX® sheath is hand-fitted to protect your Curve _4.5 allowing for vertical or horizontal belt carry keeping it ready for the next task or for protecting the blade and your gear if you prefer to carry it in your pack instead.  The pictured belt lock & belt clip are both included for numerous carry options and the hole spacing on the sheath is to the industry standard of 3/4" on center.  KYDEX® sheaths will scratch the blade with use - please, keep the sheath clean and free of debris.

SlicKnives’ Kepper ₅ ^TM is part of our Premium SlicKnives series with a drop point blade profile based on Horace Kephart’s proven sheath knife that was part of his cutting tools ensemble discussed in his book, Camping and Woodcraft.  To be clear, the Kepper ₅ is not intended to be a clone of Horace Kephart’s knife – we just love the blade profile that he created and this is our take on his tried and true sheath knife.

Kephart’s classic sheath knife was developed over years of perfecting it while in the field.  Our Kepper ₅ embodies the proven capabilities that you expect from Kephart’s blade profile along with new features sure to make the Kepper ₅ one of your favorite fixed blade knives.  Take it with you and you’ll always have a blade that gets work done!
