The SlicKnives ClipPoint _4.5 ^TM is fashioned after the numerous historical clip point blades that moved west across the U.S. with hearty pioneers.  This tried-and-true blade shape helps its user accomplish all sorts of tasks from processing wild game in the field to prepping the veggies for the salad followed by slicing off a piece of perfectly done steak at dinner.  

Designed in the U.S. and hand made from Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel by our expert knife making partners in Albacete, Spain, the ClipPoint _4.5 is tough with an edge that holds up and is easy to sharpen after use.  The 4.5” blade, comfortable full grip, and beautiful premium leather vertical carry sheath combine to make this blade a dream to have along for whatever ride presents itself.  And unlike the old-time original clip point blades, SlicKnives’ design has an ergonomic grip to protect the user from slipping forward onto the sharpened edge when the work gets slippery, which unfortunately, was a common injury associated with the early designs back in the day.

The ClipPoint _4.5 comes amazingly sharp out of the box with a high flat ground blade that melts into a full flat grind from the high point of the blade out to the tip and includes a secondary beveled edge for strength and long life.  Jimping has been included along the spine in front of the Ricasso for sure handling when the going gets tough.  And since it’s made with quality stainless steel, you won’t need to worry about the edge or blade corroding at the end of the day.

Olive Green G10 scales with a Black G10 liner attached to the full-tang provides a hand-shaped foundation that gets even grippier when wet.  The non-removeable scales are permanently mounted to the ClipPoint _4.5 with three stainless steel screws for durability and includes a buterola that’s ready to accept your lanyard for the occasions that call for added safety measures.  Additionally, the 90-degree spine is perfect for getting a fire started with the included ferro rod. 

The premium hand-made leather sheath provides vertical belt carry and includes a loop to keep your ferro rod close at hand.  The dye on newly-made sheaths may become visible on the front part of the G10 grip in the area that grips the inside of the sheath creating a unique patina, however, it can be cleaned off easily and will fade with use as the sheath wears and ages.
