I thought a knife with a thumb stud opening was just as good as anything else, but the flipper opening is where it's at. So easy to get it from the pocket to action! The bearing seems to hold up to abuse too. My daughter was holding/looking at the knife and dropped it straight into the soft sand at the reservoir. I was worried the sand had ruined the bearing but it still works as good as new!

Once you feel that lockup you realize how solid this folder is built. Great internals, feels like a fixed blade. The edge cuts into wood really nicely. This is a great choice for an EDC folder!

Wow, so the Kepper 5 definitely exceeded my expectations and earned a spot in my camping kit! This little workhorse can put in some hours and kept really sharp.

In looking for additional carry options for my recently ordered Hunter 5 knife i ordered the black sheath dangler to go with it.
My first impression of things started with the order. The website was easy to navigate and browse.
I do think a brief explanation of the dangler and intended use including a picture or two of use would have been helpful especially to others who may not know what it is or how it's used and my be interested in it.
The order was prompt and accurate. There was even a little extra thanking me for my order.
The product was exactly as described and was excellent in quality appearance and craftsmanship. It identically matched the leather and color of the sheath for my Hunter 5.
It was easy to install on my sheath and was comfortable to add to my belt. I do not often carry a knife this big on my body but usually on a small day pack, this is a great addition especially in colder climates etc where you are wearing wool/ snow pants or bibs as it allows you to carry more down your leg vs up on your waist where the external pants or other gear would ride.
In addition although not part of the dangler.... it was nice to see grommets built into the sheath for tying the sheath to your thigh. To have them designed to use together adds to the forethought, craftsmanship, and quality i have learned is at the heart of SlicKnives.
I did notice a small cable with threaded ends included with the dangler and found out after calling that this was a secondary means of attaching dangler to sheath that allows for more flexibility vs rigidity of carry especially if you intend to be sitting crawling or being more mobile while wearing the knive and dangler.
A small instruction sheet included with order would be helpful.
I am excited to further my use of the knife , sheath, and dangler more as we get into this year's hunting and camping seasons.... especially with this year's elk hunting trip planned more remote areas of Colorado!

The ClipPoint is a great change up from the Kepper and Hunter designs (which I also love). It’s just as slicey as the those, but it brings added utility with it's ClipPoint design. The shorter blade length really allows you to utilize the ClipPoint design to its fullest. It is much easier to get into small/intricate areas when prepping meat for the barbeque. I also really like the new jute micarta color; it definitely sets it apart from it’s siblings. I can’t wait to get this thing out into the wild!

The Sharpening Bundle from SlicKnives is amazing. With a limited amount of work, I was able to get a sharper edge than using my Spyderco Tri-Angle. Gonna keep all my knives ready for the task. I'm so glad that I found SlicKnives!

Not only is the Kepper a fantastic sheath knife, I appreciate the accessories which are provided with the purchase of the knife, and became grateful for one of them on a recent backcountry snowmobile trip. I have owned a large number of fixed blade sport, survival, and military knives, but was interested in the Kepper given its historic lineage to Horace Kephart’s sheath-knife. I’m so glad that I gave it a try. It is beautifully crafted, and you can feel the level of quality when you pick it up. While using, the weight and balance of the knife allow for great control. The tapered blade was surprisingly smooth during prep work for some St. Louis Ribs. The dangler allows for easy access to the knife regardless of what outdoor gear I’m in. Long story short, 13 miles away from the parking lot in the wilderness of Colorado my buddy sheared the right ski and suspension off of his snowmobile. I had some paracord with me, but was able to utilize the paracord provided as a lanyard with the Kepper to trail fix the snowmobile and drive it the 13 miles back to the parking lot. We would have been in trouble without this extra cordage. THANK YOU SLICKNIVES!

I love this knife it is amazing

Since I wanted the orange scales, it only made sense to use the black hardware. Everything you need is in the kit. Definitely follow the installation video so you aren't chasing down which hole you accidentally put one of the longer screws. If you are going to be changing your knife up regularly, I would invest in a torx set because the provided tool can be a little bit cumbersome.

Being able to change out the handle scales makes keeping your knife new and fresh a piece of cake. Whether you want your favorite color, or a bright color in case you drop it, this makes it easy. I will say the texture on the orange scales is a little bit courser than the black ones, but that is something that I like. The change out was easy, just keep track of the screws and don't drop one because those little things are hard to find.

When you pick this knife up you know you are holding a quality knife. FlicKnives Pocket 3.5 is a hefty knife that stands up to whatever you throw at it. The handle is comfortable in the hand. The blade is sharp and strong. The fact that you can customize it with different colors makes it even better. Having four different options on where the pocket clip goes let's you carry this knife how you want to, not how someone else thinks you should. The lock on this knife is solid and there are no worries about it slipping.

I was surprised by how lightweight the knife was. At first, I was concerned it wouldn't hold up. Once I started using the knife routinely, it became clear it was just because it was such better quality than the folders I've purchased until now. So happy with my purchase!

This is an excellent folding knife that checks all of the boxes: No side-to-side play in the locking mechanism, the blade is centered when folded, great steel, comfortable handle, and very reasonably priced for what you get. This knife now resides in my wildland fire pants pocket. Highly recommended.

As a monster fan of the KEPHART style the Kepper 5 checked all the boxes for me.. not to mention it arrived quickly. Came razor sharp.. 10 out of 10 on fit and finish. The edge retention was very good and I'll definitely be purchasing again
